Candidates are required to select the correct answer out of the 4 options. The examination time to complete the paper is 3 hours and 30 minutes. There shall be a 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.

With the latest NEET PG exam pattern update from NBE, it is clear that the questions are now divided into 5 time-bound sections, each labeled as A, B, C, D, and E. Each section contains 40 questions and candidates have 42 minutes to complete each section.

They can’t move on to the next section until the allotted time for the previous one has elapsed. Once the time for a section is up, candidates can’t review or modify their responses for that section. The next section’s questions will automatically begin after the completion of the previous section’s allotted time. This format aims to ensure that candidates manage their time effectively and focus on each section without the ability to go back and forth between questions.
